Tel Aviv’s nightlife scene is definitely one of the best in the world, there is a bar or club for every taste, from chilled outdoor bars to get a beer and some good food, to underground techno clubs with crazy hardcore parties.
1. Kuli Alma – 10PM – 1 AM
Central Tel Aviv – Mikveh Israel 10
Voted the best bar in Tel Aviv! The cool underground bar on the corner of Yehuda Halevi and Allenby has a big outdoor area to chill, a closed room with amazing music to dance and a third room that usually has live music! The also host some great exhibitions and pop up shops, a complete experience! It has some of the best vibes in the city, awesome DJs, beautiful graffiti decorating the walls and Tubi slushies!
2. TEDER.FM – 10 PM – 1 AM
South Tel Aviv – Derech Jaffa 9
If Tel Aviv is a hipster capital of the world, TEDER.FM is its Mecca! Teder is a perfect hangout, it’s unpretentious and chilled, with outside tables in the middle of an old gallery, perfect to sit out with friends for hours, they broadcast good music, serve beer in jars for sharing and have an amazing pizza. They regularly host cool guest DJs (TEDER.FM broadcasts live every night), special performances, movie nights, and second-hand-markets.
3. Spicehaus (Jaffa Perfume Company) – 10 PM – 1 AM
Central Tel Aviv – Dizengoff 117
This is definitely one of the coolest concept bars ever. They call it a “cocktail bar pharmacy”, the bartenders actually dress like pharmacists, and cocktails are served in 3 different sized beaker bottles. This is the largest cocktail bar in Tel Aviv, but don’t get confused when you see a sign for “The East Jaffa Perfume Company” – you’re at the right place!
4. Sputnik – 10 PM – 1 AM
Central Tel Aviv – Allenby St 112
Hidden down a small alley off Allenby, near the corner of Rothschild, Sputnik opened in 2016, and has already achieved a cult-status amongst the Tel Aviv hipster crew as a space to chill, drink, catchup with friends, and listen to good music – including the occasional live act and top Tel Aviv DJ. It’s recommended to book a table in advance, as the place gets packed by 10pm and there are usually large queues outside.
5. Double Standard – Pregame
Central Tel Aviv – Dizengoff St 247
Cool classic cocktail bar at night; sophisticated mixology shop during the day, selling geeky-chic cocktail making equipment. Expect delicious cocktails from the guys behind Spicehaus, and a sophisticated snack menu. All the mixers are home-made in the Spicehaus laboratories – with a wide range of healthy tastes and flavours. And now you can even buy a pre-bottled take-away cocktail mix – take home and add ice to impress any date!
6. Imperial Cocktail Bar – Pregame
Beach – Hayarkon Street 66
Featuring an atmosphere resembling a conglomeration of London, Paris and New York, it doesn’t get classier than this. With Asian-colonial inspired cuisine and music varying from swing jazz to rock n’ roll, Imperial has you covered on getting cultured. Check out their happy hour between 6-8pm where all drinks are half price.
Central Tel Aviv – Nahalat Binyamin St 52
One of Tel Aviv’s newest and coolest bar restaurants, Drama is a hidden gem in the heart of Tel Aviv on Nahalat Binyamin near the corner of Rothschild Boulevard. Spread across 3 floors, there’s a chilled indoor bar when you come in, head up a few stairs to their beautiful outdoor patio, and on the top floor is a dance floor! The outdoor patio is going to be one of the stars of the Tel Aviv summer – it’s like an oasis in the middle of the city. The food is delicious, the atmosphere chilled, and the drinks are refreshing.
8. The Block – 1 AM and later
South Tel Aviv – Shalma Road 157
The Block is Tel Aviv’s biggest and most serious night club. Located on Salame st., detached from most of TLV’s wild night-life, The Block is easily accessible by either bus or taxi. As soon as you enter, the outside world ceases to exist, but with 3 different areas, each with their own music and vibe – why would you want to leave? First you will hit the main dance hall, there is also a smaller dance hall and a lounge. All these are connected by luminous corridors for you to get lost and re-find yourself.

Feel right at home as you are transported into a backyard barbecue. With a young crowd, chill outdoor garden and reasonable prices, this is your go-to spot for day drinking.
11. Pasaz 10 PM – 1 AM
Central Tel Aviv – Allenby 94
Literally located in an underground passage, this bar/live music venue has a very laidback feel. With red dim lighting and vintage furniture, the hipster vibe puts an emphasis on the music without the frills of a posh night club.

15. Salon Berlin
Kerem Hatemanim – Najara St 15
There’s an art to becoming a bar regular, but Salon Berlin makes it easier than others for a non-Hebrew-speaking expat. Somehow the re-purposed classroom chair I always sit in outside, smoking cigarettes and watching the patio at Pappas, is magically open whenever I swing by on a random Tuesday night. Salon Berlin rarely disappoints with its gruffly polite waitstaff and old-man regulars, who are always a few too many drinks in no matter what time it is. Foreigners, hipsters, old men, lovers – everyone comes here.

Yavne – Tucked away behind Allenby, this is definitely a blink and you’ll miss it kind of place – but that would be an epic, bloody shame.
