Château Pèlerin

The ruins of this once-impressive Crusader fortress, which housed 4,000 Crusaders, are now closed off in a military zone. The castle can be viewed from the adjacent beach and from Mt. Carmel. Particularly interesting is a tombstone decorated with a cross and anchor. Other names for this castle are Atlit Castle and Castle Pilgrim. Map.
